Peter Roberts FRICS

Managing Director

Peter trained as a chartered surveyor and was senior partner of Davis & Bowring in Kirkby Lonsdale for 15 years.

He then started up the Langdale Group; a European Resort and Hotel business in 1980 which was developed and sold to Scottish & Newcastle in 1989. From this he helped to set up Luminar Leisure, the nightclub business and country style inns - a restaurant/pub operation, the former was floated in the stock exchange and the latter sold into the trade in 1995.

Peter started developing and operating hotels in Harrogate, Edinburgh and Manchester before starting up Golden Tulip UK in 2002. He was the CEO of the company and in particular responsible for the acquisition of sites and hotels for the company between 2002 - 2007 when the business was sold to Whitbread PLC.

He has significant experience in property acquisitions and development over the last 35 years as well as being heavily involved with negotiations for freeholds, leaseholds and management agreements, together with corporate and individual funding.

Angela Crawshaw

Property Director

Angela Crawshaw has extensive research and acquisition experience within the hotel and hospitality industry and was part of the highly successful Golden Tulip UK Acquisition and Development Team that was bought out by Whitbread in September 2007.

During the five years of building a portfolio of 7 hotels and a further 15 in advanced stages, Angela was responsible for sourcing sites; providing research to support the proposed development and finally feasibility reports for board approval. Now with a considerable contact list of developers, agents and potential investors, Angela is able to offer a specialised site finding service to match up Landowners and Developers with the appropriate hotel operators.

Becky Anderson

Hotel & Site Acquisition Manager

Becky joined the GT UK team as a personal assistant to Peter Roberts, then CEO; but her role soon became more focused on the site and acquisitions side of the business. Throughout her time at GT UK Becky played an important role in supporting the acquisitions team helping research and source sites which gave her good grounding for her role at Countrywide.

Becky is a strong member of the team at Countrywide, managing her own accounts, and building good relationships with many operators, land owners and developers.

Selina Shackleton

Hotel & Site Acquisitions Manager

Selina joined Countrywide in November 2007 and since joining has become actively involved and a strong member of the Site Acquisitions team; speaking to hotel operators, landowners and developers on a daily basis. Her background was within the global Outdoor Advertising Company as a PA.
